Benson High School Library: Honors US History 2

Student Goals

Select an overarching theme for your Civil Liberties and Legal Changes Project.

Locate required information about a legal change representing each time period:

  • What legal change occurred?
  • What was the justification for the law?
  • What occurred surrounding the legal change to bring this civil liberty to the forefront?
  • Who was positively impacted?
  • Who was negatively impacted?

Create a powerpoint presentation that presents this information.  In May, write an essay exploring the historical changes that may have impacted this legal change, an argument for and against the change, and the last impact of the change.
