Professional Resources Available for Librarians!

Did you know the District Professional Library has an entire section devoted to school librarians?  Did you know that it is packed full of recent titles that could apply to any library program?  Did you know you can borrow those resources for free just by contacting Carol Hiddleston or Courtney Pentland?  Please take a moment to explore the professional resources, including library journals, with just a click of your (this) mouse.

Collection Development 2015-2016

We have had several questions about which sections to focus on listed in our collection development plan for weeding (and possible repurchase).  See the sections listed below.  Please note, that you are not limited to these sections.  Also, keep in mind that you do not need to replace everything you weed.  Think about your student populations' interests and needs before purchasing replacements.

As requested by several librarians, I have created bookmarks for the Big 6+ and the Super 3+.  The backsides of the bookmarks will be blank.  Please feel free to use these with you students and share with me how you are doing so!  Courtney
