Course Description: This course continues the study of United States history from 1914 to present. Students address the social, economic, and political development of the nation and relate it to both past and present. Instruction is organized around the themes of geography, history, economics, culture, and the elements of citizenship. Students investigate these themes using textbooks, newspapers, novels, primary sources, and technology.

The second semester of U.S. History covers four units of study: Postwar America and the 1950's, The Civil Rights Movement, The 1960's and 70's, and the 80's 90's and Today.
