Check It Out: August 3, 2016

Your weekly news from the OPS Library Services Staff

As you welcome your students to the 2016-17 school year,  seize this opportunity to be a leader in your building. Think about:

What do I want my legacy to be?

How will I make it happen?

Curriculum Day

This year's librarian curriculum days will be held at Goodwill Industries located at 4805 N. 72nd St.(just north of Home Depot near 72nd and Ames). Dates are August 11 and August 12.

Bring with you:

  • laptop, Surface or other device
  • a couple of favorite picture books for read-alouds
  • a couple of classroom core-novels and/or some great fiction or non-fiction that you have not used yet in collaboration

With these resources, we will have some hands-on activities where you can build a lesson....or EQ's to perhaps collaborate with classrooms.

Your building schedule will determine which day your are to attend. In other words, the day that your building's teachers attend their curriculum day is the day you will attend our librarian curriculum day.

We look forward to seeing all of you.
