I am Mrs. Sherri Schumann, Gifted and Talented Facilitator. I serve three schools in OPS - Belvedere, Boyd, and Wilson Focus School. I am here at Wilson Focus School on cycles day 4 & 9 and half a day on cycle days 5 & 10.

This is my 33rd year in education. I graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, and I began my career in Wisconsin.  I then spent 13 years in Colorado and later moved to Nebraska.  I have been a teacher, an Instructional Facilitator, and a Gifted Facilitator.  I received my masters degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from UNO; I have been summer school principal for two years and QUEST administrator the past five years.

Being a traveling specialist, I have the privilege of working with many students and staffs.  I love my schools, and I cherish every day I get to spend at each school.  Our children are such treasures, each with their unique personalities, capabilities, and needs.  I feel honored that I get to work with these children every day!

Speaking of children, I am married with three children of my own, and I am a first-time grandma as of October 2011!  I have one daughter, age 20, two sons, ages 23 and 27, a daughter-in-law, age 26, and a beautiful little grandson born October 16, 2011.  We also have a six-year-old puppy, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, named Harley.  Outside of school, I spend a lot of my time watching sports and missing my children!

I wish all of you a wonderful 2012/13 school year!
