Frequently Asked Questions

How many books may I have check out?

First- sixth graders may have 5 books checked out at a time.  Kindergarteners start with one book and gradually increase throughout the year.  If a student has materials that have been checked out for over a month, they may not be able to check out.

When do I return my books?

Books may be returned at any time.  Simply put the book in the drop box at the circulation desk.  It is very helpful if students return books at least one day before a class check out.  If too many books are returned on check out day, Mrs. Ralph isn't able to help people with games, journals, or touch typing.

May I borrow books on other days?

Yes, students are welcome to come to the library with teacher permission throughout the day.  If Mrs. Ralph is teaching, you may need to put the book you want on the circulation desk with your name.  She will get it to you as soon as possible.  If Mrs. Ralph is not in the library, please bring an adult with you to assist you.

How do I renew a book?

Bring the book with you to class on checkout day.  Please keep it with you and do not turn it in.

Where do I find the passwords for online databases?

The passwords for online databases are on the blue bookmark located on the circulation desk.

What is my login information for the online catalog?

Your username is your student identification number.  Your password is based on your birthday.  Begin with a two digit number for the month you were born.  Add the two digit number for the day you were born.  Last, add the two digits at the end of your birth year.  Do not put any spaces between the digits. (MMDDYY)  You may also ask Mrs. Ralph on checkout day.
