Persuasive Writing Summative Assessment

On Friday 1/25 (A) or Monday 1/28 (B) you may bring the following items to class. Review materials and be prepared to answer short essay questions related to the following:

o  “The Clergyman’s Letter” with rhetorical framework annotations and notes over warrants

o  Notes on MLK—consider HOW king addresses the clergymen’s warrants.

o  Rubric notes on anchor essays and MLK (the chart we made in class)

o  Your 50 Essays text

o  rhetorical framework notes on Sojourner Truth’s “Aren’t I a Woman”+ Scavenger Hunt+ Reflection

o  Class notes over warrants

o  Your 3 minute persuasive presentation notes/notes over types of evidence (analogy, anecdote, example, fact, definition) and logical reasoning (syllogism—deductive and inductive)  

o  Listening Notes + Reflection
