Lesson Overview:
The goal of this inquiry project is for students to explore the appropriateness of the horror genre for 8th graders. Students will present their findings as an argument speech.
**A visual component is optional. Any visual aids used with the speech should include minimal text.
Day 1
Instruction on evaluating online sources and using databases
Day 2
Time to do research and take notes
Day 3 (block)
Finish research and create MLA bibliography in NoodleTools
Day 4
Finish up notes and assessment on research

Written: A bibliography of information used created using NoodleTools, a list of the sites where your photos came from, as well as the paragraphs outlined on the SWAY.
Verbal: A four to five minute formal presentation for the class or for small groups of classmates.
