Benson High Online: School Counselors

General Information

The counselors at Benson High School want you to know that we understand you may still need support during the closure of our schools due to COVID-19. 

  • All counselors will check email regularly Monday-Friday during regular school hours and will respond to all inquiries and requests within 48 hours.  Each counselor will be responsible for requests from their assigned students, so please direct inquiries and requests to your assigned counselor.

  • If you have concerns about coursework and grades, please email teachers. 
  • Your assigned counselor can assist with college application and scholarship application questions through email.  If you need official transcripts uploaded or emailed and provide us with a link or email address, we will complete requests within 48 hours.  Transcript requests through Naviance are still being fulfilled as well.  Education Quest is closed to the public but can still be contacted by phone, so please call 402-391-4033 for inquiries about assistance with FAFSA.  Seniors, keep searching for and completing scholarship opportunities appropriate to you.
  • Non-emergency need for social/emotional support can be directed to Boystown National Hotline at 800-448-3000 or https://www.safe2helpne.org/#!
  • If you have concerns that a Benson student or someone else is at risk of harm or inflicting harm upon someone else, please call 911.

ASVAB Activities (Beverly.johnson@ops.org)

• For those students who have already taken the ASVAB and received their score reports, they can use the access code to open the website, see their scores, take the interest inventory, and search for careers.

• There are tutorial videos to walk students through the process of understanding their scores, navigating the OCCU-Find, and taking the Find Your Interest (FYI) inventory.
