Big 6+ ELA Projects: 10th Grade Exemplars

Reminder

At the completion of this lesson, you will need to send two student examples each of a level 2, 3, and 4 project to your curriculum specialist or department head who will in turn submit them to your supervisor.  This can be electronically or as a hard copy.  Please include the document below with your submission.  You will need one cover page for each grade level you teach.

  • Only send in the final product with a citation page.  (Rough drafts, outlines, notecards, etc. are not needed)
  • Clearly mark the grade given to the assignment either in the upper right hand corner of the first paper page or in the document title for electronic submissions.
  • Remove the student's and your name from the product.
  • Send in a blank copy of the rubric used to grade this assessment
  • If you are submitting exemplars from a lesson not included on libguides.ops.org/big6 -- you will need to send in a copy of your lesson plan.
  • If sending in electronic copies, send to both Julie Schik and Courtney Pentland

Using Exemplars

The exemplars to the right may not fit the exact project you are teaching, but you can still share them with students to give them a gauge of what a level 2, 3, and 4 should look like.
