The District Professional library is located in the TAC building in downtown Omaha. The materials in the DPL are available to all staff members of the Omaha Public Schools. To search for print or digital titles not listed below, please visit our library catalog.
To request print materials, please contact Courtney Pentland 531-299-2909 by phone or email. We can hold these items for you to pick up, or we can send them to you through inter-office mail.
Below you will find links to professional journals through the EBSCO database. To access these journals from a computer outside of an OPS building, you will need login names and passwords. Please contact your school or district librarian (Courtney Pentland) for this information.
To get access your OPS OverDrive account, go to ops.lib.overdrive.com
Your login name is your employee number (minus the 0 at the beginning)
Your password is probably 123456 (if this password does not work, check with your school librarian to find your LS2 pin#)
Once you are logged into your OverDrive Account, you can easily search for professional books by clicking on the subjects tab. Select "All Non-Fiction." You can limit these results at the bottom of the page to just ebooks or just audio books if you would like.
At this time, staff members are limited to 2 items checked out at a time. Items are checked out for 14 days at a time.
