Curriculum Day for Elementary Librarians September 18, 2020: The Ramped Up Read Aloud

Ramped Up Read-ALoud

Option 1

Investigate one or more these resources that complement The Ramped-Up Read Aloud.

Develop a lesson plan, using these resources and / or  the book, that  aligns to the A+ OPS Curriculum Guide. It is okay if you do not complete all components of the lesson plan at this time, but I want to see evidence that you have formulated the idea for a lesson plan.

Submit your lesson in the OPS School Libraries Notebook.

Option 2

Listen to the webinar Thinking, Talking, & Learning in The Reading Workshop.

At about minute 37, she moves into talking about guided reading. You may stop the webinar at this point.

Describe three ideas you gleaned from watching the webinar and expand on ways you might use these in your library practice.

Going forward, you may want to add evidence to the notebook of your use of these ideas. This can be used as evidence of your support of the literacy component and of OPS Strategic Plan and may also fit into align with your school SIP goals.
