Researching Your Chosen Topic

Child and Family Webguide

Now it's time to do some research about your chosen topic. Your goal is to find 5 facts, hints or tips that you can include in your infographic. Look for data -- or numbers about your topic. For example, if you choose moving as your topic, see if you can find how many families move to a new home each year?

We'll be using the Child & Family Webguide from Tufts University to search. The links you find here will lead you to reliable sources, which means you can trust their facts! According to the website, "The WebGuide is a directory that evaluates, describes and provides links to hundreds of sites containing child development research and practical advice. Topics are selected on the basis of parent recommendations; they cover all ages, from early child development through adolescence."

You can click on one of the topic links they've provided or do a general search in the blue search bar. Remember, you're looking for a total of eight facts, hints or tips you can use to create your infographic. Write down those facts in your own words on your project planner and include the website where you've found each fact. You may find one great site with lots of facts; you may need more than one.
