Marrs - Library : Golden Sower Projects!

Welcome from Mr. Keel!

Newspaper, Instagram, Snapchat communique

How about sharing the events of your story in a newspaper page?

What kind of stories would the characters in your book post on instagram? Facebook?

I see it differently - Write a new ending!

Did you like the way your book ended?  Can you envision a different ending?  What if your characters had made another decision?  Write a new ending that would be interesting and make sense.!

Are you MOBILE?

Get creative with arts, string, colors, and supplies/ . . . make a mobile!

Comics - Graphic novels

Just the basics!

Okay . .. so you've read a Golden Sower book and you just want to enjoy the great story.  No problem.  Schedule some time with Mr. Keel to tell him all about it.  What you loved, what you hated.  Tell him connections you made, or lessons you observed.  That counts as a project.

. . ..  or, if you want to write up a little something about your book, you can do that too.  Probably 2 to 4 paragraphs just to let him know what you thought about the book!

Easy, huh!

Podcast !

How about interviewing one of the characters from your book?  You can do both parts or recruit a friend.

You can also just talk about the book in your podcast!

Shhhh. Keep it a secret!

What would the diary of one of your characters have in it?  What details would they write about? Create some diary entries your character would want to record!

Topic exploration!

So what is your book about?  What were some of the topics discussed?

Did you characters go try to find a whale?  Do some research on whales.

Did they like to cook?  Make their favorite thing.

Did they speak another language?  Make a dictionary with some of the words.

This is your chance to explore, wonder, and GROW as a reader!

Diorama

Take a shoebox, get some materials (the library has a lot!)  and start being creative.  Take an interesting scene from your book and illustrate in miniature form.

Shakespeare would be proud - Write a play!

Turn you book into a three page scene!  Can you do the whole book or just an exciting scene!

Board Games Frenzy!

Create a board game based on the different events in your story!

Lights, Camera, Action! Create an imovie!

I'm ready for my close up!  How bout directing a movie starring your family?  Turn your book into something for Netflix!
